OK, zugegebenermaßen etwas strange, aber den Ohrwurmfaktor kann keiner abstreiten. V.a. die ersten beiden Songs sind da ganz gefährlich...
Ja, auch Kurt Cobain hat gecovert. Und zwar drei Songs einer von ihm recht hoch geschätzten schottischen Band, die eigentlich nur fünf Jahre existiert hat (1986–1990), sich aber 2008 aus rein ehrenhaften und überhaupt nicht kapitalistischen Gründen wieder vereint hat. Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain once described Kelly and McKee as his "most favorite songwriters in the whole world", and even named his daughter Frances Bean Cobain after McKee. (Wiki)
Wer die "Unplugged in New York" und das Vorwort von Cobain zu "Jesus Doesn't Want Me For A Sunbeam" kennt, der könnte sich schon mal gefragt haben, was er da plötzlich vonwegen Vaseline erzählt. Hier nun die Antwort. Es folgen jeweils das Cover von Nirvana und das Original von The Vaselines:

Ok, vielleicht hätte ich hierfür doch eine neue Kategorie "Merkwürdige Musik" einführen sollen. Definitiv etwas merkwürdig, aber nichtsdestotrotz interessant ist die Musik von Garfunkel and Oates.
Wer Scrubs schaut, der kennt wahrscheinlich schon die halbe Band: namentlich The Gooch und die Freundin von Ted, bürgerlich Kate Micucci.

Kleine Anekdote am Rande: Regie führte beim Prodigy-Video Jonas Åkerlund, der selbe Regisseur, der das Pussy-Video für Rammstein inszeniert hat (habe ich übrigens mal wieder gefixt, siehe Beitrag vom 22. Oktober 2009) und den der ein oder andere auch von Spun (mit Mickey Rourke, Brittany Murphy & Mena Suvari) kennen könnte. Aber ich schweife ab. Viel Spaß beim Schauen!
